One way of renewing parishes, especially urgent for parishes in large cities (or towns), might be to consider the parish as a community of communities and movements. It seems timely therefore to form ecclesial communities and groups of a size that allows for true human relationships. In such a human context, it will be easier to gather to hear the word of God, to reflect on the range of human problems in the light of this word, and gradually to make responsible decisions inspired by the all-embracing love of Christ. Pope John Paul II The Church In America Jan.22,1999
A Small Faith Community is a group of ordinary people listening to their own story and the stories of others in light of the Scriptures or other spiritual readings. Please call Kathy Bachik at 724.776.1357 for additional information.
You are invited to join the Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner program. Beginning in September, small groups meet in various homes on the second Saturday of each month to enjoy a delicious meal with new friends. The only thing you are asked to bring is a side dish. The size of the dinner is based on the number of people that each host can accommodate. You do not have to host a dinner to be part of the program. The first dinner is September 8. For additional information or to register, call Bernadette at 724.933.0518 or Janie at 724.776.1945.
